AUSTRIA IN A BOTTLE

As I feel really comfortable in the analog and also the digital world, I really love projects and designs that combine them both. Not only because of the endless possibilities these two areas provide, but moreover to get the advantages of creating individual designs on paper and easily digitalise them and spread them into the world.

For this project I wanted to add a new technique to my designer-repertoir and also improve my analog printing skills. After a really time-consuming, but also relaxing process of drawing and cutting the effort resulted in four unique illustrations for different kind of fruits. More precisely these artworks represent Austrian fruits, that can be used to make a specific liquor called „Schnaps“, which is a pretty traditional spiritous drink in this country.

In the end I combined the individual graphics with dark colours to create a really clean and minimalist design for print labels that could be used to sell this kind of alcohol. Not only to express the elegance of this product, but also to let the illustrations speak for themselves. For a little final touch I decided to rename the German words for the fruits and came up with typical expressions in Austrian dialect.
